SMMC Board Chair Welcomes Interim Administrator

(Salmon, Idaho) Kristin Troy, the Board Chair for Steele Memorial Medical Center (SMMC) welcomed Stephanie Baker to be a short-term administrator for the next 30 days until the interim CEO arrives the first week of November.
“Stephanie has a wealth of experience in running hospitals and is one of the top hospital administrator trainers in the country. She is here to support SMMC staff through this transition and to make the necessary day-to-day decisions that are inevitable in a complex system like a critical care access hospital,” Troy said.
“We thank SMMC staff and the community for your patience as the SMMC Board of Directors have been carefully considering a path forward to create effective, calming continuity of leadership in the coming months,” Troy added
Troy said George Rohrich will take the reigns as the interim administrator the first week of November.
“Both Stephanie and George come with the highest recommendations and the necessary skills to help guide SMMC for the next six months or so. We are confident that both Stephanie and George will bring leadership, and professionalism to make sure our hospital and clinic continues to provide the highest level of patient care and is a source of pride for all SMMC staff,” Troy concluded.
