Executive Director of Compliance and Risk Management
The Compliance Officer oversees SMMC’s Compliance Program, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews and evaluates compliance issues/concerns within the organization. The position ensures the Board of Directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that SMMC policies and procedures are being followed, and that behavior in the organization meets SMMC’s Compliance Code of Conduct.
The Compliance Officer acts as staff to the CEO and Board of Director’s by monitoring and reporting results of the compliance/ethics efforts of SMMC and in providing guidance for the Board and Administrative team on matters relating to compliance. The Compliance Officer, together with the Compliance Committee, is authorized to implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s desired. Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations is a must. 3 + Years of Project Management experience, 3 + Years of conducting Compliance Investigations, preferably in Health Care, 5 + Years of Managerial/Supervisory experience. Extensive Report Development experience & Policy & Procedure development experience. Knowledge of Statistical Data Analysis. Knowledge of Health Care Regulatory standards. Excellent Analytical, Written, & Oral Communications skills. Experience in Public Speaking and Business Presentation. Excellent Spreadsheet, Internet, Power Point, & Word Processing skills
