Clinical Rotations and Student Job Shadowing

Steele Memorial Medical Center is proud to support the development of future healthcare professionals by offering a limited number of educational experiences for students. We recognize that hospitals and clinics serve as critical learning environments, and we are committed to fostering education, exploration, and career growth within our community.

Clinical Rotations

Clinical Rotations must be arranged through the student’s university or college program. An active Education Affiliation Agreement between the institution and Steele Memorial Medical Center is required.

Eligible students include those pursuing non-provider healthcare careers such as:

  • Practical Nursing (LPN)
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Registered Nursing (RN)
  • Medical Assisting
  • Medical Laboratory Technology
  • Pharmacy Technology
  • Radiologic Technology
  • Respiratory Care
  • Surgical Technology

This list is not exhaustive. Other related disciplines may be considered upon request.

Student Job Shadowing

The Student Job Shadowing Program allows individuals to observe healthcare professionals in action and gain a better understanding of careers in healthcare.

Eligibility:

  • Participants must be at least 16 years old
  • Must be enrolled in healthcare-related high school or college coursework, or
  • Be an adult exploring a career change into the healthcare field

To apply, please complete and submit the Student Job Shadowing Application Form (PDF) . Applications will be reviewed by Human Resources. If approved, we will contact you to schedule your visit based on department availability. Please note that response times may vary.
