Steele Memorial Medical Center provides a limited number of education-related experiences for students. We realize that the hospital/clinic setting is a valuable training institution and we support continued education and growth. With that in mind, we encourage and welcome students who would like to spend time with us here at Steele Memorial Medical Center.

Clinical Rotations

Student Clinical Rotations are scheduled through the individual’s University or College Program and require an Education Affiliation Agreement in place. “Clinical Students” are non-physician/provider students studying to become employed in the following medical careers, Practical Nursing/ADN/RN, Medical Assisting, Medical Technologist, Pharmacy Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Care, and/or Surgical Technology. This list is not all inclusive.

Student Job Shadowing

The Student Job Shadowing Program is intended for those who have an interest in healthcare. Shadowing allows the participant to follow and observe a medical professional as they carry out their job responsibilities at Steele Memorial Medical Center. Participants must be at least 16 years of age and enrolled in related high school or college courses or be an adult who has expressed interest in a career change to healthcare. To initiate the process, we ask that you fill out an application. Human Resources will review and consider all applications. Once an application has been approved, Human Resources will then contact the shadowing applicant with the date and time that has been approved for shadowing. Response time for this process may vary depending on the department’s availability and program demands. Please submit your application via email to the Human Resources Director, Ben Session at ben.sessions@steelemed.org or mail to Steele Memorial Medical Center, Attention: Ben Sessions, 203 S.
