Christopher Engdahl

Dr. Christopher “Chris” Engdahl has been serving Steele Memorial Medical Center since 2023. He brings a wealth of diverse experiences to his practice, having earned his medical degree from Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine and completing his residency at the Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency in Augusta, Maine. Board-certified in Family Medicine with a focus on in-hospital treatments, Dr. Engdahl has dedicated much of his career to caring for underserved populations in rural Maine and New Mexico.

At SMMC, he provides comprehensive care in Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Urgent Care. His professional interests include medical education and enhancing patient care in acute settings. Outside of medicine, he enjoys wildlife photography, exploring the outdoors, staying active, and indulging in all things coffee-related.
