Pregnancy & Childbirth Education
At Steele Memorial Medical Center, we’re here to ensure you feel informed and confident as you prepare for the birth of your baby. Education is a key part of this journey, and we provide a variety of resources and opportunities to support you every step of the way.
Hospital Tour and Prenatal Education
Around your 28th week of pregnancy, we will schedule an in-person hospital tour tailored to give you peace of mind and a sense of familiarity before your delivery. During this tour, you will:
- Explore the maternity hall and your laboring suite, giving you an idea of what to expect on the big day.
- Receive basic prenatal and labor education, including tips for managing labor and what to bring for your hospital stay.
- Take home a comprehensive pregnancy, birth, and parenting book, along with a folder of community resources to guide you throughout your pregnancy and postpartum journey.

Our Childbirth Education Class is designed to support expectant mothers and their partners as they prepare for labor, delivery, and postpartum care. This half-day class is offered every four months and provides essential guidance for a confident and informed birthing experience. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided. We encourage you to bring all of your questions—nothing is off the table!
